Grammy Awards 2025 - Chappell wins Best New Artist!

A night of glamour, performance and excitement, celebrating an incredible year of music. We were all VERY  excited for the 2025 Grammy Awards and they certainly did not disappoint. Many of us sat for hours eagerly hoping to catch a glimpse of Chappell on the red carpet and in the audience, excitedly awaiting her live performance. Her red-carpet look gave feather couture with a 2003 Gautier dress and headpiece, styled her long time collaborator Genesis Webb. Another outfit change for her time in the audience consisted of powder blue bodice and pleats, followed by further outfit changes for her live performance and finally the remainder of the show. Faces of Music

Sephora have released a documentary mini-series on Hulu called "Faces of Music", with individual episodes featuring Chappell Roan, Victoria Monét, and Becky G. The episodes explore the crossover between music and beauty, and in Chappell's episode she gives us more detail about her own beauty regimes and explains how this has helped develop her to develop the persona of Chappell Roan today. Whilst re-creating her Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess album cover look, she talks about her experience of being out, as well as the importance of her shows providing a safe space for her fans. Despite the layers of make-up and costume, this interview feels like Chappell at her most bare yet, and we are grateful that she has also found a safe space to express her true self, just like she helps to create for us.   Faces of Music is featured in full length on Hulu, or in part via YouTube:

BBC Sound of 2025

Chappell Roan has this year won the BBC Sound of 2025!! She has come ahead of the competition to be awarded the title by an expert panel of 180 music industry insiders, and now has been labelled as the BBC's most exciting artist to watch in the next 12 months. Other artists in the shortlist included Ezra Collective , Barry Can't Swim , Myles Smith , and English Teacher . The longlist included Confidence Man , Doechii , Good Neighbours , KNEECAP , Mk.gee , and Pozer . Chappell was presented the award by BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders who hosts the channel's New Music Show, and interviewed about her career so far as well as what she is hoping for in the next 12 months. Nardwuar vs Chappell Roan

Nardwuar, the Human Serviette, has chosen to interview Chappell Roan for his musician interview this week.  The interview features 45mins of in-depth discussion about Chappell's journey to success, including some of the music summer camps she went to, her job at the coffee drive-thru, and many records discussions and recommendation from Nardwuar. Nardwuar is a well-known eccentric character but he seems to have some special way of getting extensive details about all his interviewees background, leading to us hearing some new gems about Chappell we haven't heard in other interviews. A Carpool Karaoke Christmas

The popular Carpool Karaoke with James Corden ended when his Late Late Show on CBS stopped airing last year, but we are more than grateful that he has released one final episode - of course featuring Chappell!!! The Christmas-themed episode, hosted by Apple Music's Zane Lowe, has been released on Apple TV and as well as Chappell, features interviews and performances from Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa. In addition to singing along to some of her hits, Chappell talks us through her journey to stardom so far, while showing Zane around her childhood hometown of Willard, Missouri. They are joined by Chappell's parents, family and friends as they visit some of her previous hangouts, and give us greater insight into life when she was just known as Kayleigh. A Nonesense Christmas

The meteoric rise of Chappell Roan took over our Summer this year and it looks like she will be taking over our Christmas too! Chappell has been announced as a musical guest to feature on Sabrina Carpenter's Netflix holiday special "A Nonesense Christmas"; a festive show featuring duets, comedy, and of course some classic Sabrina innuendos😉. The show will feature a festive duet from Chappell and Sabrina, as well as performances from country legend Shania Twain, comedian Kyle Mooney, and a cameo-ho-ho (you're welcome) from Sam Astin. Grammy Nominations Celebrations

This week we heard the amazing news that Chappell has been nominated for an incredible 6 Grammys at the 2025 Grammy Awards!  1. Best New Artist 2. Song of the Year - "Good Luck, Babe" 3. Record of the Year - "Good Luck, Babe" 4. Best Pop Vocal Album 5. Best Pop Solo Performance - "Good Luck, Babe" 6. Album of the Year In celebration of this achievement, Chappell and long-time co-writer Dan Nigro were invited to the Grammy Museum to give an interview (with none other than fellow musical icon Brandi Carlile!), all in front of a very lucky live audience.
